Privacy Policy
MILCOMPASS is an independently developed military reference, study, career-development, and leader-support product. It is not an official U.S. Army, Department of Defense, or U.S. Government application.
Information MILCOMPASS may process
Account information may include email address and authentication/session identifiers. User-created information may include saved references, career goals, milestones, profile details, preferences, and permitted documents intentionally placed in the Career Documents Vault. Technical and security records may include timestamps, application version, request identifiers, authentication/security events, and limited diagnostic information needed to protect and operate the service.
Service providers
Supabase supports authentication, database, and storage functions. Cloudflare supports hosting, edge delivery, API security, and related infrastructure. When a user intentionally uses an AI-assisted feature, the question and limited verified context needed to answer it may be transmitted through the MILCOMPASS server to OpenAI.
Payments and advertising
Apple or Google may process app-store payments. MILCOMPASS may retain verified transaction and subscription metadata needed to provide and restore Pro. Free may display clearly identified ads when advertising is enabled; Pro is designed to be ad-free. Vault contents are not used to target ads.
Prohibited information
Do not upload classified information, CUI, SSNs, DoD/EDIPI identifiers, government credentials, passwords, medical records, security-clearance investigative material, operationally sensitive information, full bank/payment-account data, or other information MILCOMPASS identifies as prohibited.
Deletion and retention
Users can export supported account data and use a verified process to permanently delete the authentication account and eligible associated personal data. Limited security, fraud-prevention, transaction, legal, or backup records may remain temporarily when reasonably necessary to protect users, resolve disputes, comply with law, or preserve service integrity.
Website advertising and cookies
Google AdSense may serve ads on public guide pages for guests and Free users. Google and other third-party advertising vendors may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, and similar information to deliver and measure ads. Google’s advertising cookies may allow Google and its partners to personalize ads based on visits to this and other websites.
You can manage personalized advertising at Google My Ad Center, learn about Google’s use of data on partner sites, and review other advertising choices at YourAdChoices. Where an advertising consent message is presented, use its controls to make or change your choices. Browser settings also provide cookie controls.
The public guide ad placement does not send account email addresses, private Career or Leader records, or Vault documents as ad targeting fields. Signed-in Pro and admin accounts are excluded from these ad placements once their status is verified; unresolved account checks keep ads off.
